1/9/09 Data base HWS officially begins at 16:45 PM. Using SRCC draw profile.

1/12/- 1/15/2009 Shake down process in progress. Flow meters replaced on tankless systems.

1/15/2009 Adjustment to ICS thermostat to match other systems

1/28/09 HWS Lab dedication ribbon ceremony with Bob Hasset DOE

2/2/09 Updated program to ASHRAE 90.2 draw profile

2/5/09 Adjustment to program draw events to keep draws at less than 65 gpd

3/2/09 Pipe insulation to electric, differential, ICS and PV pumped finished.

3/10/09 Insulation completed to all systems (early afternoon)

3/28/09 Begin testing new program to calculate parasitic energy for differential and gas tankless

3/30/09 Program now includes final version of parasitic energy consumption

4/22/09 Adjusted thermostat setting on tankless to slightly lower temperature. Left power breaker to OFF position, no performance data for rest of day.

4/23/09 Turned electric tankless system breaker to ON position

4/25/09 Problem with relay stuck on Takagi tankless. Additional Natural GAS consumption , No Btu’s logged which explained the low efficiency.

5/11/09 Tankless electric adjusted slightly down to lower temperature and energy output. Power breakers were left to OFF position, no performance data for rest of day

5/12/09 Tankless electric breaker back ON at 10:00 AM

5/18/09 Download to CR10X logger/controller program with Building America/NREL May hot water draw profile.

5/19/09 Corrected program, BA_May version officially begins at 9:30 AM

5/27/09 Tankless electric unit replaced with current production unit. Unit thermistors calibrated by manufacturer at FSEC. Tested with draw at 2:35 PM. Thermostat adjustment up slightly at 4:30 PM.

6/1/09 ASHRAE 90.2 Draw proifle program downloaded to CR10X at 4:50 PM. Very fine adjustments made to flat plate solar collector tank thermostats. Adjusted mixing valve slightly (lower settting) on Solar PV system.

6/15/09 Download to CR10X logger/controller program with Building America/NREL June hot water draw profile.

6/26/09 Natural gas 40 gal. system down 6/25 for water inlet distribution manifold leak repair. Schedule on all other systems disrupted 6/26 between 9:30 and 12:30 PM. Operation restored on NG 40 gallon tank at 3:30 pm.

7/1/09 ASHRAE 90.2 Draw proifle program downloaded to CR10X at 11:36 AM.

9/30/09 Problem with flowmeter in morning hours draw schedule preventing log of BTU's, resulting in lower daily efficiency.

10/05/09 Flowmeter replaced on ICs/50 Gal. system due to failure. Previous two days (weekend) No BTU data. Changed to ASHRAE 90.2 draw schedule in the afternoon.

10/19/09 Download to CR10X logger/controller program with Building America/NREL October hot water draw profile schedule. Replaced freeze valve on Diff. Solar system

10/14 - 10/14/09 Natural Gas tank meter went thru a series of fixes. Good known data leading to Eff=0.56 begins on Oct. 15, 2009

10/20 - 10/22/09 Flat plate PV system down, check valve removed and cleaned, air shred valve adjusted, solenoid valve replaced. Last good Eff = 1.8 on Sat. 10/17.

11/2/09 ASHRAE 90.2 Draw proifle program downloaded to CR10X at 11:00 AM.

11/16/09 Download to CR10X logger/controller program with Building America/NREL November hot water draw profile schedule at 10:00 AM.

11/23 THRU 11/24/09 Gas line rupture, no gas service, pilot light restored morning of 11/24/09. Discard 11/23 & 11/24 data. Good data on gas systems begins 11/25/09.

12/2/09 ASHRAE 90.2 Draw proifle program downloaded to CR10X at 1:45 PM.

12/8/09 Increased thermostat setting on electric tankless water heater at 4:00 PM.

12/16/09 Downloaded to CR10X logger/controller program with Building America/NREL December hot water draw profile schedule.

1/4/10 ASHRAE 90.2 Draw proifle program downloaded to CR10X at 2:30 PM.

1/6/10 Re-positioned pulser mechanism on tankless nat. gas system due to missed pulses on 1/5/10. Effciency on tankless gas on these two days is higher due to missed pulses.

1/15/10 Replaced PV pump with new D5 Solar 090B. Use only Jan 16 & 17 for ASHRAE TOD analysis.

5/10/10 System in partial shut-down mode to save water/energy during reconfiguration.Solar systems generating hot water without aux. heat. Recording baseline data

5/26/10 Ten watt photovoltaic module removed from Solar flat plate PV-DC pump system. Replaced with a new 20-Watt module.

5/27/10 Stagnant PV solar flat plate system (no hot water circulation). Flush to purge air from system to allow full pumping circulation.

6/22/10 Heat Pump Water Heater was connected and started on Default Hybrid Mode. Initial 2.6 Amps @ 10:50AM, 2.9 Amps at 11:50. Shed temp 87.1 F HP discharge air temp 67.5 F.
